We're currently using three Google API's to enrich SearchWorks, our next generation catalog:
- dynamic links, to add thumbnail images and preview/read @ Google links to search results
- embedded book viewer for detailed record pages
- the Chart API to dynamically generate QR codes for citation export
We're now at the point where we're looking to leverage more APIs (and from more sources) to add content and functionality to SearchWorks. This seems like an excellent opportunity to consult with this list and tap the collective wisdom of many practitioners.
