FRBR relationships

I don’t get the concept of “Pendant” in FRBR relationships. As you know
pendant is an example of a work-to- work relationships and also
expression-to- work relationships and expression-to- expression
relationships,

Why is it an *autonomous* work or expression? Please discuss about this with
examples
