Dear NGC4LIB Community,

My name is Paul Burry and I am a cataloger in the library at the University of Northern British Columbia<http://library.unbc.ca/> and a MLIS graduate student enrolled at the University of Washington iSchool<http://ischool.uw.edu/>. As part of an iSchool coursework assignment, my research partner Jeremy Darrington and I are conducting a pilot research study examining the use of metadata crosswalks in libraries.
We are looking for a few volunteers who have some experience selecting, implementing, or maintaining a metadata crosswalk, who would be willing to allow us to interview them for our study. We are interested in collecting data about how libraries select and develop crosswalks, how successful these tools are at translating metadata, and how librarians evaluate their effectiveness.
If you would be willing to help us out with our study, please email either myself (burryp@uw.edu<mailto:burryp@uw.edu>) or Jeremy (jdarring@uw.edu<mailto:jdarring@uw.edu>) to arrange details. We will be conducting interviews of approximately 30-60 minutes in length, online via Skype<http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/> voice calling (or via chat messaging, if preferred), sometime between July 16th and July 30th.
Thanks very much for your assistance.
Regards,

Paul Burry, BA, MLIS Candidate
