The ( need for the ) coding of 245$a and 245$b
was just brought up.

I'm no cataloguer, and probably know infinitely
less about that whole Byzantine business than
most of you here. But, I know for sure that I
have seen cases of books whose title pages were
( given the design, positioning of the elements,
fonts used and so on ) of such a sort that what
the one cataloguer had put respectively in 245$a
and 245$b, had by another cataloguer elsewhere,
who was presumably following the same rules,
actually been put respectively in 245$b and
245$a. ( Sorry -- I can't dig out any specific
examples right now, but they're there. )

No big deal ?
