So goes the theory.
Where has it been put into practice for library catalog data on a large
scale, not just experimentally or on a limited scope of tasks? I mean,
XML has been around for long enough now, and there are lots of people
who understand it (and some of them are quite committed), to expect
there to be a success story or two in this arena. More specifically,
is MODS a success story, does it confirm the theory in everyday
practice, in heavy-use scenarios?
