There's a reason Google and friends aren't employing
ibrarians en masse, and it's *because* the arcane knowledge within
eans nothing when meta data value (as opposed to its content) can be
ecreated better through computer analysis.

You do remember the controversy at Google Books a while back, when it was found that books were dated as 1900 that shouldn't have been, that books by Sigmund Freud had someone else in the author field, etc, etc. That's why Google needs catalogers.
