Is that something more agreeable than MARC, in all those regards
addressed by the critics of MARC and cataloging?
Might this be a starting point for the radically new approach that is so
obviously and desperately needed?
But is this schema a data model? What are the entities, what
relationships are defined, how are they to be coded? What I see is just
a long list of elements, arranged in WEMI levels - what about the
other FRBR entities? And do the WEMI levels mean there have to be
separate records (or what?) for those 4 entities?
What, in other words, is the XC data model?
