Okay, but don't underestimate yourself or overestimate how hard
programming is. At LibraryThing I've had occasion to train a number of
librarians from the "bottom up" and they've always been surprised at
how easy it is. The fact is, the catalogers I know well are all super
smart and mentally organized—the programmer skill set. On a number of
occasions I've seen them excel "real" programmers with ease.
