No, it was hyperbole, jolting a projection of mine out there through
juxtapositioning it onto a statement of yours, hehe. But there is a
serious note to it; librarians, if they want to save their library,
needs to be less political and more Indiana Jones. Be braver, and
*claim* some librarian cred (as it won't be given out by default
anymore) swing that whip, and capture some treasure! (translation: be
braver in trying out something completely new, like becoming actual
innovators in the digital space, and create something that blends user
needs with librarian expertise ... you know, like LibraryThing ... :)

Again, we agree far too much. Isn't there someone else I can fight
with, someone who thinks we're off our rockers? :)
