Have you read any of Martha Yee's publications on works and moving images?
Yee (1993b) is a short article originally published in Cataloging and
Classificaton Quarterly. This is one of serveral papers derived from of her
dissertation (Yee 1993a). Many of her publications are available onlline
at http://myee.bol.ucla.edu/workspub.htm .
It is important to note that Yee uses the word 'Manifestation' to mean
roughly the same thing as 'Expression' does in FRBR (in as far as
Expressions are so defined). Yee's theoretical approach is based on
near-equivalents, and examining what kinds of diffrences are enough to
create a new entity. This is presented in more detail in Yee (1994a,1994b).
