2) the holdup here is SKOS -- "simple" knowledge organization system
-- which doesn't accommodate the complex pseudo-faceting of LCSH. It
was designed for traditional thesauri, which LCSH isn't. It appears to
be sufficient for DDC as linked data, however. See: http://dewey.info
(just the upper levels, but that's all that OCLC makes public).
