For what it's worth, I've set up a reference database of LCC
classification codes:

See what you can make of it, the interface is partly German.
It starts on the Word index, but there is an LC Class index as well.
The clickable link "Books about this (UC Berkeley)" gets you into
UCB's "OskiCat" which happens to have a decent LCC browsing feature.
The database itself is not new nor is it complete, but that's not the
point here. One could certainly improve it.
