We were talking about "next generation catalogs" here, and one of my colleagues said she didn't think that next generation catalogs would significantly impact use of library collections.
I'm curious, for the libraries that have implemented a next generation catalog -- VUFind, Encore, Primo, Endeca's system, etc. -- do you have stats showing an increase in catalog usage? And, perhaps more importantly, have you seen an increase in circulation?
