Advice on selecting an ILS?

Greetings NGC4Lib,

I need to pick folks' brains about selecting an ILS that can handle custom/proprietary metadata formats (i.e., not MARC) for a collection of physical and digital non-book assets in a small corporate library.  I've identified one potential solution but I'm curious about what else might be out there.  Would this be an appropriate discussion for this list, or is there a better venue for it?
