It has to be used properly.  Google makes no claims about the veracity
of the information in the squares, simply that it was harvested from
various Web sites.  Users are encouraged to hover over the information
in a particular square to investigate further.  If you hover over the
square with Medvedev's death info, then click, it gives you the source
Web sites and also indicates "low confidence" for this particular value.
In this way, Google Squared can act as an educational tool for exploring
the Web and understanding the varying reliability of the information
found.

The new Google Squared search engine thinks the current president of the
Russian Federation is dead. I also noted that it thinks that Vladimir
Putin is also dead.

I don't yet understand this tool but I'm not suggesting to my students
to use it yet...
