We use Syndetic for PINES (which is a group of 270+ libraries using Evergreen) and do not have an problems with slowness. You might Check with Larry Hansard at Georgia Tech. I know they are using VuFind but am not sure where they get the added content.

At Brandeis we're working with VuFind as a possible NextGen catalog interface. We know that in the past there were concerns with speed in loading cover images from Syndetic Solutions. Are libraries still experiencing problems with this? With Amazon tightening up on the use of cover images, do you have other solutions to suggest? Thanks for your help. Amira
