Fair point :)
Without wishing to sounds like a salesman, Aquabrowser does offer some
nice features. However one of the problems is finding out what it does
actually offer (even for customers!).
Unlike some traditional Library apps. It is not so much 'what it
can/can't do', more a greyness between the two (with varying degrees of
associated costs, if at all).
Couple of examples:
Try doing a search on Aston University's version to see what I feel to
be a nice integration with Metalib (via the Metalib not-quite-free X-server)
http://aquamarine.aston.ac.uk/ABLaston/
Try searching 'lord of the rings' to see an example of some frbr results:
http://zoeken.bibliotheek.be/
(a catalogue searching six largest libraries in Flanders according to:
http://sn.im/isuiv)
(not saying any of this is unique to Aquabrowser, I know that many other
ngc's do as well, but thought this may be of interest)
Regards
Chris
