JSTOR support confirmed that the Scholar is misinterpreting article metadata (read: DOI) and that they will try to resolve it with Serials Solutions and Google.

Incidentally, I have reported this problem to JStor too. As far as I can
tell, it's entirely JStor's fault, and JStor admits it -- JStor is
sending bad metadata (bad DOIs) to Google Scholar. It's not Google
Scholar mis-interpreting the DOI, it's that JStor is sending bad DOIs to
Google Scholar. As far as I can tell.
It annoys me (and probably my users) greatly as well. JStor tells me
they realize it's a problem and are working on fixing it, but it's a
large project and they can't give me a timeline.
I blogged about this here:
