I've been reading this "opac live search" thread for several days now.

It seems like it's degenerated into a sniping fest among several NGC4LIB list members, with the comments spiraling farther and farther away from being constructive.

I'm reminded of the old 1960s Buffalo Springfield song "For what it's worth."

The song lyrics start out with: "There's something happening here. What it is ain't exactly clear" and then go on to say: "There's battle lines being drawn. Nobody's right if everybody's wrong."

Then there's the verse about people "Singing songs and carrying signs,
Mostly say, 'Hooray for our side.'"

Sorry to get all 1960s on people with this reference, but can't our discussions move at least a little bit towards being more constructive?
