University of Notre Dame, Hesburgh Libraries (South Bend IN) seeks an Electronic
Resources Specialist position to work in a team support and development
environment. This is a high level professional staff position, with
special focus on usage statistics management. The position entails
development projects involving open source tools to enhance access to
electronic resources, as well as shared technical support for
e-resources implementation.

This position is ideal for a candidate who is detail-oriented, technically adept, and
interested in providing library services in an academic setting.
Application environment includes ExLibris SFX, Metalib, Aleph as well as
open source developed products.

Undergraduate degree required plus 1-2 years related experience.
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical solutions necessary.
Ability to analyze library processes and propose efficient solutions
required. Strong commitment to customer service and attention to detail
necessary. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in an academic library, with complex systems or databases,
and web development skills desirable.
