Hi folks

Long time lurker here!

I'm very proud to announce that the University of Huddersfield has just released aggregated book usage and recommendation data for over 2 million circulation transactions covering a 13 year period. We've chosen to release it under an Open Data Commons license.

One of the reasons for releasing the data is to try and spark a debate about the benefits of usage data, the advantages (or disadvantages) of libraries sharing/aggregating their data, and the barriers which might stop libraries from doing it. This debate will be of interest to the JISC TILE Project in the UK:

I'd warmly welcome any comments/questions/abuse that you want to sling my way :-)

If anyone does anything cool with the data or has any suggestions for improvement, please let me know!

warmest regards
