Hi Bernie--
I'm a product manager at BiblioCommons so I'm pretty familiar both with
the product and how frustrating our corporate web site is. ;)
The Oakville site <http://opl.bibliocommons.com/dashboard> gives a sense
of current features. Unlike SOPAC, a library card is required to be able
to contribute content: we believe that authenticating through the
library is one way to ensure thoughtful comments. However, there is a
tour and help linked from the masthead that demonstrate and explain
these features. Under the covers, we currently support broad and deep
ILS integration--level 4 of the DLF ILS-DI and beyond--with Horizon,
Unicorn, and Voyager; next up are Millennium and Evergreen.
If there are specific questions that are appropriate for the list, fire
away and I'll do my best to respond on list. If we start veering into
product pitch, let's take that off list: contact me at my work email or
phone number listed below.
