In part this might depend on which users you are referring to. For a staff
interface we are hopeful a community of library staff will continue to
engage with the OLE Project, as we define requirements.
End-user interface is different. In terms of end-user interface we may have
a basic interface. There is also the hope and possibility that other,
external applications can take on those interface functions. For
example eXtensible
Catalog is focusing on a Services Oriented Architecture approach. It would
be nice if services like XC could be an interoperable part of an overall
design.
We hope to have the beginnings of a scope document up at
http://oleproject.org on Friday. The idea is that through the evolving
scope document and forums (such as the Wednesday webcast) we can provide the
community of libraries an opportunity to help define the services, and give
the existing core and advisory members an opportunity to further explain the
developing vision.
