Hi Robb
Two obvious choices:

1) Smiraglia, Richard P. Shelflisting Music: Guidelines for Use with the Library of Congress Classification: M. 2nd ed. (MLA Technical Reports Series; v. 30). Lanham, Md.: Scarecrow Press, 2008.

2) Subject Cataloging Manuals: Classification And Shelflisting Manual, 2008 ed. Washington, DC: Library of Congress, 2008. (available online via Cataloger's Desktop)

Subject: [NGC4LIB] looking for LCC Class M resources

Hi,

I'm working on a project, building up introductory materials and resources,
about LCC class M. For any type of material -- sound recordings, print score,
etc.

I know of the Yale site for music cataloging. I'm looking for any type of
resource -- print or online, articles or books, anything -- that is a good
introduction to the topic, explains how to use it, simply explains what's there,
etc.

Or if there any major subdivisions of LCC class M as a topic or issues that are
being debated about it. That type of thing. Materials that would be good for
someone just being introduced to music cataloging, focusing in on LCC class M.

Thanks :)
