I started playing with Koha version 3.x over the weekend, and I think
it shows a lot of promise:

While the code is still considered alpha in nature, there are many
interesting features including:

   * support of tens of million of records
   * faceted browse
   * cover art
   * Web Services APIs
   * live circulation updates
   * standards-based (SRU, OpenSearch, SIPS, RSS, etc.)
   * multi-lingual support

I wonder whether or not it will support content other than MARC for
input? Hmmm...
