Thanks for your questions Dan.  And thanks to everyone who has responded
publicly as well as to the openlib_at_duke.edu collector.  I think it's very
encouraging.

We do hope agile development will come into play.  And we are very
interested in engaging the the academic library community.  *At least *for
that reason I'm not laying out a prescriptive solution at the fore of a
request for participation.

When it gets started I anticipate the process will be quite rapid with
deliverables that can be used almost right away.  Timeline is under
development and related to the responses to the email-call.

Yes, I'm a fan of Evergreen.  I don't think our open call steals any
thunder.  Rather I see it as entirely constructive. The "join in" call
should go both ways.   At the same time I don't want to gloss over
differences in approach.  Eric, Owen and many others have addressed those
quite well.  Things move fast and the initial response has been great.  The
plan is to maintain and facilitate engagement as well as share more
information as soon as possible.
