It's generally used as a jesting chide on slashdot.org (otherwise known
as /.) where large amounts of discussion take place between members who
have read no more than the setup text at the head of the discussion,
often ranging off into great debates that are no more than
mis-interpretations of a brief summary of the actual text. There is also
a related acronym "TFA" when one is relating to the article itself.
This, in my mind, as become almost a term of endearment.
