about using Google Books as a "people's library catalog," extolling the virtues of their "about this book" display. There is a lot about it that appeals to me. Lots of paratext, as it were, links to related information and whatnot.
Another thing I like about Google Books, Open WorldCat, and LibraryThing is that they give users the ability to save and manipulate their "stuff." Most OPACs, frankly, do a crap job of that.
