This is exactly what I needed for my scenario - great to know that it is there - I simply didn't notice it before. I don't know if I have any suggestions as to more effective presentation. I agree you don't want to just present it if there is an author hit.
Despite comments about not need instruction to use Google, this is slightly misleading - Google has help and advanced search, and familiarity with Google can be of help when doing certain kinds of search - we have to be slightly careful to to hold up Google as a paragon as well as taking note of all the things it does well.
