According to Apple, "Already, more than half of the nation’s top 500
schools use it [iTunes U] to distribute their digital content to
students — or to the world."

Soon after the announcement that Emory would be participating in
iTunes University, one of our IT people approached me, and said,
"I need to talk with a sane librarian about metadata." I don't know
much about what's inside iTunes U at the moment, but I believe its
metadata requirements are pretty minimal.

I think the challenge will be to make iTunes U play well with other
discovery and delivery mechanisms, such as Primo and Google Appliance.
Many paths, no single solution.
