True for catalogs of published texts, less true for media like sound
recordings and films. (Take a look at UCLA Film Archive's catalog, where
there are multiple versions of just about everything.) And it will be
less true as we go forward, as works are "re-purposed" from print to
digital to audio. For example, every single digitized Google book is
about to be represented as a separate item from its print original in
WorldCat. Suddenly, FRBR will affect many more items.
