Is there any browse index? If so, I fail to find it.
Searching for "John Smith" turns up 945 records, the very first on
display shows the trouble: The creator is "Smith, Oliver R.", and
there's a John So-and-so in a note. IoW: a useless result.
OK, you can enter "Smith, John", but then you get all of them plus
all instances of "Smith, John ..." A browsable index for names would
solve this nicely, or is this only an obsession of mine?
If this is all MyLibrary can do, it is abundantly suboptimal and not
what we can expect from even the most humble of traditional catalogs.
And no, the keyword search isn't fast or exciting either, the ranking
not transparent. _Is_ there any, BTW? There's no obvious
arrangement, by date or whatever. Is there a date field in the DC
records at all? Then the display doesn't show it. But it ought to.
