Well, I'm sorry, but isn't this a platitude, and one with no evidence in
reality that it's going to happen? I also believe you wrote the very
same words a while ago, but this happens to the best of us.
"Catalog" is a robust word with a firm grounding in tradition. Good
catalogs have always been both cornerstone and pillar of good library
service. And tradition is not the worship of ashes but the preservation
of fire.
Something along this line, or so I think, has led libraries in this
country to abandon OPAC in favor of Katalog as reported yesterday.
