Ross Singer said: "If our systems require training, our users will go elsewhere. It's a principle of the path of least resistance."
I thin that's an important point. And Karen Schneider expressed similar sentiments in a recent article in the Wall Street Journal:
"We may want people to spend hours learning our arcane systems, but the reality is they're going to default to the path of least resistance. We need to be in that path."
