Nope, not what I meant to suggest at all. The title of the work (or
manifestation, or expression; again, it's sometimes ambiguous in current
practice) in hand is _already_ in the 245 (or 240; etc.). There is no
need to duplicate it in 700. Oh wait, I see what you are suggesting, the
reason you'd duplicate it would be to make it clear which work the 700
author is an author of.

Interesting idea. I don't think it's neccesary, because you can assume
that the person mentioned in 700 is a joint author of the work
represented by the bib record.

If it WERE neccesary, you could not simply reference the [title of work
in hand], you'd absolutely have to reference the Work Identifier of the
work in hand. That, is, for instance: ""Darwin, Charles, 1809-1882. On
the origin of species". That's the identifier for the work in hand, in
that case. Whenever you are referencing an entity, you must use an
unambiguous identifier for that entity.

Only in cases of "title main entry" is the (uniform, controlled) title
alone the Work Identifier. That is in fact the meaning of "title main
entry"--another phrase I would abolish, because it confuses the meaning.
The true meaning is "The work identifier for this work is composed
entirely from the title of this work, not from the Person/Body
Identifier of any author/creator."
