Georgetown University Law Library is seeking qualified applicants for
the position of cataloger.

Responsibilities: Cataloging library materials in various formats using
OCLC and Innovative's cataloging system based on current national
cataloging rules/standards, like AACR2; Library of Congress Subject
Headings (LCSH); Library of Congress Classification Schedules (LCC); and
local cataloging policies and procedures; Able to do original cataloging
and upgrade less-than-full-level OCLC records; Performing local database
maintenance activities and other cataloging projects as assigned.

Requirements:
Minimum: Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of cataloging working experience
or equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge of
MARC, OCLC, AACR2, LCSH, and classification schedules

Preferred: Knowledge of LCC; experience of Innovative cataloging system;
knowledge of German and/or French language
