Systems Librarian - University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO)
The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) seeks a forward-thinking,
service-oriented librarian to participate in the creation and support of
innovative, integrated solutions for our patrons and staff. Serving as an
integral part of the Library Operations team, this position coordinates
the integrated library system and explores technologies and practices to
create an environment of superior access to electronic information. Omaha
offers a low cost of living and high quality of life. The city offers
superior theater, music and fine arts, dining and varied recreational
activities. UNO is a community oriented campus located in the center of
the city, offering a park-like setting and a mixture of modern thought and
small town charm. Required: MLS or equivalent. Substantial knowledge of
library automation practices including acquisitions and cataloging
workflow. Experience working with an integrated library system in an
academic or public library setting. Ability to meet faculty tenure and
promotion requirements. Desired: Experience with Innovative Interfaces,
Inc., Millennium integrated library system and successful project
