Actually, this sort of came up at the XC (extensiblecatalog.info)
meeting a couple of weeks ago. A few of us thought it would be cool
(or even "kewl") to allow different "next generation" catalogs/OPAC's
to talk with each other to better enable recommendation services such
as People Who Used This Also Used That. It is not a far stretch to
allow tags from one system to be seamlessly shared with another
system. Again, playing on the wisdom of crowds.
