This news is exciting to me. For about a year and a half I've been
working on a project to gather Spanish equivalents to LC subject heading
(http://lcsh-es.org). I'm aiming to provide a simple (and free) way to
enrich bib records with Spanish subject terms. Right now there's just a
human interface; later I'd like to develop a web service. I also want to
make it interactive so people from all over can contribute.
The data I've collected thus far has a variety of problems, one of which
is the presence of obsolete LC terms. I've been scrounging LC authority
records from different sources to do validation and this looks like a
better solution for me.
