You agree not just with Judith here but with the entire German
cataloging community. That view was laid down in a study sponsored
by OCLC almost 10 years ago. Here's the correct link:

And besides, it is the only view that could be called to be in
accordance with FRBR. MARC 505, IOW, is still in use as a burial ground
for far too many individual works.
