I also recently tried out some ideas with tagging & del.icio.us, using the LCSH for 150 titles we've digitized and published online at www.botanicus.org. I broke each 650 & 690 into its subdivisions and used del.icio.us' import feature to link the digital title's URL to its new LCSH "tags". Then I dropped a tag cloud into the page at:

http://www.botanicus.org/documents/lcshtags.html

I think this page presents an interesting way to browse & visualize contents of a catalog (or a subset as in this case). Although I'm not as crazy about the page you get after clicking on a tag, the ability to keep narrowing down titles using Related Tags is a good feature - luckily their API is open and it's easy enough to rewrite a better interface if we wanted.
