Maybe it is time to change this (the local catalog) bread and butter to
something else that is not resident on our local servers but is remote -
and hopefully collaborative - part of something more than local.
Possibly also we can transfer the passion for the catalog to efficient
end user services.
W3e don't have lot's of time - we delude ourselves if we do. Having lots
of time means procrastinate, wait, give it to somebody else to
decide....
A jolt of fiscal crisises would be very useful right about now.
The "patrons" don't care about all this wasted energy, and if they knew,
maybe they would spend even the limited time they spend with us
somewhere else.
