Yes, lots is known about the problems with human nature, flock
mentality, cognition, information traversal, knowledge representation,
and more.

However, there is a quantum leap between information behaviour and the
quality measure known as 'usability'. The "problem" in this discussion
isn't unknown nor is it hard to solve.
