Just wanted to pull out some opinions on new OPACs, and whether this
list thinks it's a step in the right direction.
I certailny like the Endeca catalog at NCSU (
http://www.lib.ncsu.edu/catalog/ ), which integrates search with browse
very nicely.
Today, Innovative Interfaces announced what "seems" like a new OPAC,
called *Encore*, for release in 2007...
From their news release:

* Faceted results display for effortless retrieval of complex
data sets

Encore is planned for general release in mid-2007 with development
