Our Terminology Services project is on-going. The first part
of the project dealt with mapping vocabularies, e.g., the JODI
paper.

We created a research prototype and have done a few pilot
tests. We didn't convert the full Getty vocabularies, only
the sample data for ULAN. We also didn't make use of the
mapping information in the prototype other than displaying
the information.

The research prototype was turned over to our development
folks who are busy building a service on the ideas in the
prototype. Information about the pilot can be found at:

My latest understanding from the product manager was that the
Getty vocabularies would be available either when it was
announced or sometime after. The Getty vocabularies were
considered an important part of the production service. The
production service will allow searching within a vocabulary,
like the prototype, or across all vocabularies, and I believe,
that any mapped terminology will be linked between vocabularies.

Personally, I would be interested in hearing more about the issues
you are currently facing in your project, but it would be best to
take that offline. You can contact me directly from my Web page.
