To the LITA Membership


OVER THE PAST YEAR I have spoken with a number of you about your view
of LITA and the directions that you would like to see the association
take. I look forward to talking with more of you over the next few
years.

   Many people I spoke with told me of their interest in broadening
the leadership base of LITA, involving new and old members from all
types and sizes of libraries and other information providers. I also
heard a lot of interest in getting involved, or more involved, in the
work of the association.

   Here is an opportunity! Elsewhere in this issue is a volunteer form
that I hope that every LITA member will consider completing and
submitting. Our association has an extensive committee structure with
a wide variety of jobs to be done, and many volunteers are needed.
