The NASIG Board is seeking volunteers to serve on a short-term task force to revise the Core Competencies for Electronic Resources Librarians<https://www.nasig.org/Competencies-Eresources>. As electronic resources work has evolved significantly since this document was published in 2013, this revision will ensure the document reflects current practices, emerging technologies, and the changing roles of e-resources professionals.
Task force members will review the existing competencies, recommend revisions, and collaborate to produce an updated document for the library and information community. The target date to share the draft for discussion with the community is NASIG 2027 annual conference (June 2027). We welcome e-resources professionals from a variety of library types, career stages, and areas of expertise. Previous experience with competency development is not required. NASIG membership is preferred.
If you are interested in helping shape this important professional resource, please email your resume/CV and the statement of interest to cec_at_nasig.org<mailto:cec_at_nasig.org> by August 3 , 2026.
