NDSA Call for Proposals, extended deadline & Keynote Speaker nomination request

Hi all,

Good news — the submission deadline for *NDSA* *Digital Preservation 2026* has
been extended! You now have more time to submit your proposal for this
virtual conference, taking place *November 4–5, 2026*.

*Theme:* *Striking a Balance: Optimizing Labor for Sustainability and
Resilience*

We're looking for talks that explore how the field is navigating labor,
capacity, and sustainability amid AI adoption, budget cuts, and ongoing
change — including topics like:

   - Digital preservation and curation
   - Born-digital collections
   - Preservation metadata
   - Partnerships and advocacy
   - Emotional labor and burnout
   - Project and change management
   - AI and machine learning in digital preservation
   - Workflows and tools
   - Copyright and privacy

*Formats:*

   - 5-minute lightning talks
   - 15-minute talks/demos (grouped into themed panels)
   - 25-minute talks/demos (grouped into themed panels)

*To submit, you'll need:*

   - Proposal title
   - Presenter names, affiliations, and emails
   - 50-word abstract
   - 250-word proposal

All accepted work will be shared under a CC-BY 4.0 license and posted to
NDSA's YouTube channel after the conference.

*📅 New Deadline:* *Wednesday, July 15*, 2026, 11:59 PM ET
*Notifications of acceptance:* Mid-August

All presentations must be recorded for playback during the conference.
Presenters should be available for a live question and answer period during
the scheduled session time. Presenters will receive support in the form of
tutorials, resources, and individual assistance.
