It's one thing to read the chapter as history, and another to be a living participant in the parable where knowing when to use MARC 516 versus 538, being able to expound on proper ISBD punctuation, how to be a successful NACO contributor, and the manipulation and meaning of many other such acronyms don't matter nearly as much as they did a (relatively) short time ago.
