Hello colleagues,

I waited and debated announcing this here, because I respect everyone's
time and eyeballs. Sincerest apologies if I have overstepped my boundaries.
I'll try to make this a respectful solicitation / pitch.

Traditional wisdom may lead you to tailor your resume to the job you are
trying to land. Personally, this has left me with an unmanageable hierarchy
of slight variations of my resume. I've tried keeping a copy of the
position I apply to in a directory with the resume and cover letter I've
submitted. But once I've applied, the effort made to position myself as
that applicant dies at that point. Only if I'm cognizant will I look to
reapply that phrasing elsewhere.

In an effort to capture that, I've built an app where a user can import ALL
of their profile data - work histories, contact information, education,
etc. The user can then assign tags to specific items in their resume and
then filter their own resume to generate the resume they'd like to submit.
The tool is free and available now.

It's also asking the user to put a good bit of trust into a new product.
This tool is 100% privacy-focused; you only share the information you want
to share. There's no social media aspect - you cannot search for other
users or "like" anything and there are no advertisements. This also isn't
something where AI makes your resume for you - there are enough of those, I
believe. I use Posthog to collect site errors ONLY if users agree to me
collecting those specific analytics and do not sell, or know anything
about, any user's specific data. While I do have a paid subscription layer
(gotta keep the lights on), I'm also exploring other revenue options. I
mostly just want it to get used and am trying to meet privacy concerns as
well as built on user feedback.

I've recently set up a "demo" that demonstrates high-level product function
and does not require a login. I'm not indexing the page and am not sharing
the site publicly on social media. If anyone would be interested in hearing
more about this, getting a personalized demo from me or a link to
the application itself, please let me know. It's been advised by
other close colleagues that I reach out to educational institutions with
this tool and thought I would start that process here.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Mark A. Pernotto
